DOES ANYONE FISH THE ST. CLAIR RIVER FOR PERCH, STEELHEAD, SALMON OR WHITEFISH. I DROVE M-29 THE OTHER DAY, STOPPED AT SEVERAL BOAT LAUNCHES AND PARKS ON THE RIVER BUT DIDN'T SEE ANYONE FISHING.

Hey Fred--I grew up in Port Huron and miss some of the hot spots--I would try at the mouth of the Black River on the old train bridge side for the best shore fishing in the area this time of year--I used to use minnows on perch rigs--always a mixed bag of pan fish near the bridge--I would also throw some spoons closer to the mouth (blue water transition area) for some of the larger species--I miss it! Hope this helps and you will be able to give it a try!
