cant wait to start ice fishing

port huron ponds have a thin layer of ice I usually fish algonac metro beach area for panfish hope it gets collder soon realy got the itch to hit the ice for tasty panfish canals around algonac and metro have some ice so it wont be long hope everyone had a safe and sucessful hunting season see ya on the ice LAZY LARRY.

Same here. We were at Clifford lake, west of Stanton on Saturday and it had a good coat of ice all across.

i am going this weekend on a

i am going this weekend on a 20 some acre pond, i checked yesterday and it has 3 in of ice, and by the end of this week, if the cold keeps up like it should, i should be just fine, i am pumped, especially to use my new clam shanty which i got at a garage sale for 30$ and had never been taken out of the box, i guess the owners didnt know its value

Can anyone direct me to reliable information on ice conditions? The early cold weather should be great for the early ice fishing and I want to safely take advantage of it!
