toss up between brest bay (ERIE spring and early summer) and saginaw bay (HURON early and late summer)--both have their strong and weak points

I love the Tawas state docks. Never had a day there that wasn't a good time.

It used to be the Dowagiac or the Paw Paw but I do not fish there much now.  I like to keep my favorite spots a secret.

the big sandy river on the east side of the state. those of you familar with her know what gem i speak of. even though the catchin sucks  nowadays, the fishin is still hard to beat and you often have the river to yourselve.

jptdman, are you fishing on the river near Waverly road? i grew up near there loved to fish the area. you should try Park lake if the ice is safe, we has some good times there.

I used to love fishing the north wall at Oscoda.  We used to sit out there all night long and put the hammer down to the salmon.  Its like a ghost town now out there but the fish are making a come back.

my favorite spot was practically any river in Michigan in 1999. you couldnt go wrong.

Any bar near Wellston :) Oak grove Traks bar stockade.  i hang out at all these if you're up north stop in. love fishermen.

yep the waverly pit i have to park by the cemerty and walk across the river i went sunday caught 15 bluegills the ice was only 2 inches thick the rain killed the ice now  tightlines
