New to the site but not new to the ice

I am new to this site and would like to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Randy and I am from the New Era area and love to ice fish Muskegon lake. I will be letting some others that I fish with know about this site and get the reports flowing for our area. We are always open to fishing with other good people and enjoy sharing knowledge with fellow fishermen.

Welcome Randy. I love to fish Muskegon lake too. I might go and check it out later on tonight and see if I can get out onto one of my blue gill spots. Why wait until the weekend robocop I was out this morning on a small lake in Kent County and it had plenty of safe ice to pull a limit of nice 4 to 6 inch gills.

okay at the Lyons den this morning, there were a few brave souls on the ice, 3" is what I'm hearing but that could mean 1.5" a few ft over. the perch waters are not safe and to make matters worse, a boat came through today breaking ice. I think I'm gonna wait a bit on White lake and keep checking on it.

went out today in lansing 3-4 inches of ice at hawk island a small lake in lansing caught 4 bluegills then it started to snow hard so i wasnt there long thinking about going to lake ovid north of lansing tight lines all

Couldn't believe how crowded the lakes with good ice were today, I guess nobody works on the weekends anymore these days. found 4" of solid ice on one lake in lower mich, got a few to bite but just too damn many people stomping all over the ice today.

I am one that doesnt get to fish this weekend and now we have rain and warm in the forecast. I have all but given up on the icefishing this year and am thinking of warmer water species already :(

just got home from fishing on the grand river in lansing only 2-3 inches of ice caught 15 nice bluegills hope it stays cold time to clean some fish tight lines all

welcome. I usually always check this site in the ice season and there seems to be some hardcore guys here. It used to be good for summer reports too but that seems that died off. i myself am crossing my fingers for ice this weekend before it warms up again.
