Has anyone been fishing the hot ponds and if so PLEASE drop me a line. I need to know if it is still clear and if anyone has been catching any white fish or walleye? I am heading up tonight and want to make sure It will not be a wasted trip. Any info will be great!...LOL Hope to hear back form someone. Last time I went up it was 2 people and myself. and we caught 3 walleye in 14 hours and the occasional hammer handle. the water has been way to clear for fish to be in channel.

anybody been fishing the hot ponds? anything biting? was thinking of making the drive but dont want to if the catching is not any good.

There always biting!

When the bite is on, you gotta haul a$$!
You can't tune a fish but you can tune a piano!
Good Day Kleinaar,
It's pleasant to hear that you had some luck in the Barry County area. I love the lakes and rivers there. Its always a special time reading these stories of catching these fish. I remember a time on Thornapple lake when it was snowing so hard you could barely see and I caught a really beautiful crappie.

Has anyone been catching any big gills lately in the hot ponds? I have been wanting to make it back over there soon. I will probably head over there next week after I pull my sled from Muskegon.

WHERE YOU'LL FIND ME...Fall=deer blind in the thumb, Winter-Saginaw Bay, Spring-Tippy Dam, Summer-Torch Lake

Skunkskin Cap Guy are you from the area? We have been doing very well on the walleye with the Moxie Minnow. Lots of sub legals but enough keepers to make it worth the while.
anyone fishing the hot ponds lately, this weird winter made me think of trying it next week. wondering if anything is biting? would like to catch some walleye.

Make sure that you pack your waders. I went down last week thinking that I would just cast from shore and there were a bunch of guys out there up to there waist lambasting walleye, I got nothing. I went back the next day and released over a dozen sublegals and brought home my 5. Stock up on your white moxie minnows if you go.

How did you do? were there any fish in the channel? Last time we were up, we caught some nice walleye. The hammer handles were present as well. We did not catch any whities.
