Fishing Location: Swan Creek
It was a slow start to the summer for the summer steelhead in the rivers but is now heating up. I landed 7 silver fish yesterday out of a hot hole I know of on the Swan Creek. I caught them on dew worms suspended under a bobber and spinnerbills. I have been getting a few more walleye at the allagan dam the past week too. There are alot of skamanias in the st joes by the cold creek mouths right now. I made the trip down for four days and fished three different creek mouths and pounded the fish at each one. I hooked 13 one day, 16 the next, 17 the next, and 22 after that. Good fishing to say the least. Fishing Location: Wheatley, Ont.
Fished Sat. morning 7:oo to Noon, went 7 for 13 on steelhead no eyes. We were fishing in 50' to 55' of water.

We have been nailin the summer steels at tippy. Typical drift rig with last years brown pump has been the producer. Fish looks skinny this year, the huron fish that I caught this spring blew them away in size and fight. It looks like Lake Michigan is in the downward spiral just like Huron was 5 years ago. Most people try multiple programs at the same time to figure what will work best each day, dypsies with spoons, downriggers and leadcore ore the most used techniquies, the luanches are right in town best bet is to follow the boats that will be going over there also, 55ft-60ft is where i would start, but other boats will be on the fish, usally you will catch a mixed bag of walleye and steelhead, good luck Kannon Fishing Location: Wheatley ON
Caught 9 steelhead 7-10-08. Most of the boats had limits. Fish around 55 ft but only 15-20 down. Most fish caught on 2 colors of lead core led and followed by 50 ft of mono.
