Went 4/4 this morning in 75-115 FOW. First two before the sun came up on a blue dolphin mag spoon 55 down on a rigger. Next two didn't come until 11ish off a rigger down 80' in 90 FOW. Not much boat traffic although I saw a lot going out in the morning. Not real sure what happened to them. It was pretty windy out of the esat early on which made fishing beyond 75 FOW or so pretty tough. Maybe they got seasick? Thought the last couple days of east wind would cool the water off at the pierheads and bring some fish in. I was never able to find any water colder than 69 and I didn't see many boats or people fishing the piers...Any one know if there has been any action near the piers in St. Joe in the last week or so????

FISHED OUT OF WHITELAKE CHANNEL IN LAKE MICHIGAN EARLY A.M., ON 8/26. USING 'J' PLUGS IN 137 FOW, DOWN 120-130 FEET. PICKED UP ONE 26 INCH CHINOOK IN 3 HOURS TROLLING. SURFACE WATER TEMPERATURE A BATH TUB WARM 69.2 DEGREES. SAW SEVERAL BOATS LAND FISH, BUT NO FAST ACTION. WAITING FOR COLDER WATERS TO MOVE IN.

Went 5/7 this morning out of whitehall. Most fish caught between 100 and 120 fow. 4 small ones at 8 lbs and 1 larger at 12 lbs. 65 down seems to be the key although two caught on dipsies 200 back with flasher/fly. Calm water and fun. Wish the fish were bigger though. No action on the pier as the water there is warm and the fish are deeper.

Went to the west bay saturday after the storms till 10 pm. Had one bite and thats it. Probally 20-25 boats out there and seen 4 fish landed. We werent marking many fish at all!!!! Probally better to drive to frankfort, took a drive there and just from walking out 20 mins to the light house i seen that many caught plus people on boats catching them.

Ran the shoreline north in calmer water last night then shot out to 90 and set lines. Trolled south with the waves and ended up 4 for 5. Hits came in 94-98 FOW. Double Trouble Moonshine and Green Jamaican Sunrise Flintstone spoons on the riggers 60-90 down and Slaminator and Equalizer Slammin' Flies with FishCatchers behind SlideDivers 120-150' back took the fish.

St. Ignace: anyone fish off St Ignace any more or all the fish gone? A few years ago it was a nice to fish with a smaller boat , but I have not seen any reports from that area...anyone have any info. Thanks
