Any reports of perch being caught in lake michigan? South Haven,Holland? Any info would be great.

Has anybody been fishing for perch in lake Michigan? What time of year do they normally start in the lake? Any info would be great.

Perch fishing on Drummond Island is very hot right now. Perch are being caught off of Moynahans Dock as well as in boats in front of the river. Alot of nice perch over 9 inches as well as alot of Jumbos. Fishing will last about another two weeks to ten days. White lead head jig #8 with a white tube. Large perch minnows will work best and keep the smaller perch from biting.

Fished 4/20 7am to 11am in Hoyle's marina, high northeast wind and muddy water but still a few good perch. lots of bait steelers. Seen a northern pike and a walleye caught along with a few browns after the bait fish. With a nice calm day and the water clearing up fishing should pickup because I don't think the run has really started yet.

Took some ice jigs, took the shanty outta the shed, and went over to metro beach to do some ice fishing. there was no ice...the end...however did manage to catch nothing.

Two fishermen went through the ice last thursday. Mike Kelly got himself out immedeatly but Dutcher had to be rescued by fellow fishermen. It was reported that Steve Grondin got him out and Conrad Becker got him to shore where he was met by an ambulance and he spent a couple days in the hospital at the Soo. STAY OFF THE ICE. I will report here when the lake opens up.

Saturday was cold and rainy! Waters are very muddy! No fish, not even a bite. Only a few others out fishing and the fishing was the same with them. Reports of lakers being taken and the end of the Caseville break wall but don't know what they were using.
